{"id":1960,"date":"2018-09-02T17:48:46","date_gmt":"2018-09-02T17:48:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kidlink.net\/?page_id=1960"},"modified":"2025-03-05T17:58:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T17:58:24","slug":"working-with-kidlink","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.kidlink.net\/index.php\/the-kidlink-project\/working-with-kidlink\/","title":{"rendered":"Working with Kidlink"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Working with Kidlink Projects<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Here are summary notes extracted from the <em>\u201cInnovative Approaches to the Teaching and Implementing Projects Through Global Interaction and Extensive Use of Communication Tools\u201d, a<\/em> paper written by Kidlink project manager Lusine Jhangiryan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Kidlink Project<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">We are an organization which promotes and provides opportunities for global education via online projects for classrooms. <\/span><\/span> <span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">By the cooperation of teachers &#8211; volunteers from around the world &#8211; the Kidlink Project helps schools from different countries interact with each other and thereby creating a global classroom.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Model of network cooperation<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Kidlink uses the following model of network cooperation to provide for coherent work within the association aimed at the successful implementation of global project-based learning:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Director of the organization<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Co-Director of the organization<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Volunteer project managers\/coordinators<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Participating teachers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Each individual role in this chain performs their duties on a volunteer basis. We do not receive any monetary rewards or material benefits for our work, but we all carry it out based on our personal convictions and passion for learning. Any and all voluntary donations are applied to funding payments to maintain our web host and domain service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The manager\/coordinator of a Kidlink Global Project<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>He\/She is ready to:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>\u00a0extend the circle of educators and educational institutions<\/strong> interested in joining the activities by presenting my pedagogical knowledge and experience in this field at municipal, regional, federal and international levels.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>create and provide a knowledge base<\/strong> which is necessary for teachers to organize their educational process, including: the project description, as well as rules, duties and rights of the project participants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>To search for relevant and interesting topics<\/strong> for communication within the project framework;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>To support and provide teachers<\/strong> with additional information and assistance that is published on the Kidlink.net website, as well as communication on other platforms such as private Facebook project groups.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The project manager\/coordinator specific duties and responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>The project coordinator is always available<\/strong>, and responds to teachers\u2019 e-mails and questions on the social network, maintaining clarity in instructions and patience with respect to volunteer teachers who are representatives of different cultures and religions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">The project coordinator monitors the compliance of deadlines and rules of the project.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">The project coordinator maintains the communication of teachers on the website and facilitates a dialogue among them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">The project coordinator asks questions providing a feedback, and offers useful socio-pedagogical resources.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\"> <strong>To ensure a successful project, it is necessary to:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">To comply with deadlines, instructions, phases.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">To provide meaningful feedback, all of which should be well explained before the project is launched.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provide ongoing communication with all participants, paying attention to their requests and questions, doing regular mail checks, including group chats, private chats, messages, letters and comments among participants.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Working with Kidlink Projects Here are summary notes extracted from the \u201cInnovative Approaches to the Teaching and Implementing Projects Through Global Interaction and Extensive Use of Communication Tools\u201d, a paper written by Kidlink project manager Lusine Jhangiryan.
