PHASE 2 (Feb 1st – May 15th, 2023)\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Advertising and registration <\/i><\/b>–<\/span> December (2022) and January (2023)<\/span><\/p>\n

Starting date<\/i><\/strong> – <\/span>February 1, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Development of project –<\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/span> Each class completes the following tasks:<\/span><\/p>\n

Task 1. <\/span>Pick their favorite book.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Any book, in any language. However, reports and activities will be done in English only.<\/span>
\n Task 2.<\/span> Create\u00a0a 5-minute (max) video for the Reading Marathon 2022<\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n They read passages of books of their liking, and share them with the peer classes via Flipgrid. This activity will pay homage to World Read Aloud Day.<\/span>
\n Task 3.<\/span> <\/span>Create short stories in electronic format.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Google Docs are suggested. Creative writing workshops will be offered, and recorded for future reference. Students will create their own stories, using their creativity and suggested ideas on such videos\/workshops. Deadline for uploading all students stories is \u00a0April 28th, 2023.<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>By the end of the project, the project coordinators will make a compilation e-book of students\u2019 creative writings. It will be available for all participants to download.<\/span>
\n Task 4. <\/span>Read-aloud to peer classes around the world.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Students will read their own written productions to the peer classes worldwide. We want to have an impact in the global<\/strong> promotion of reading\/storytelling.<\/span>
\n Task 5.<\/strong> <\/span>Read-aloud to acquaintances and\/or friends<\/span>.<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>Students will read their peers’ written productions to the family members, teachers, principals, etc. We want to have an impact in the local<\/strong> promotion of reading\/storytelling.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ending date –<\/i><\/b><\/span> May 15, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Diplomas ready by June, 2023.<\/b><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
