It will develop their cross-cultural awareness. Teaching children to give compliments is useful, as it develops their emotional intelligence, teaches them to see beauty in others and themselves, promotes the formation of a positive attitude towards others and makes communication more pleasant. Compliments also help to raise the mood and self-esteem of both the person who says them and the person to whom they are addressed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Teams will be divided into two categories:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n10-12 years old and 13-14 years old<br \/>\nThe number of teams \u2013 10<br \/>\nThe number of students in each team \u2013 10-30<br \/>\nAll the teams will be joined in groups of two by a random wheel at our first online meeting in Zoom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Goals of the Project<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Development of emotional intelligence:<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen children learn to identify positive traits in others, they also develop the ability to see the positive in themselves, as well as the ability to express emotions and respect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Formation of a positive attitude:<\/strong><br \/>\nCompliments help create an atmosphere of trust and positive communication, which is an important component of healthy relationships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Development of communication skills:<\/strong><br \/>\nChildren learn not only to give compliments, but also learn to listen and understand how others perceive them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Increasing self-esteem:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ability to receive and respond to compliments helps children better understand their strengths and see themselves more positively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Positive emotions:<\/strong><br \/>\nSaying or hearing a compliment brings joy and positive emotions, which makes communication more pleasant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Positive perception of the world:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ability to see the good in others helps children to perceive the world around them more positively. Compliments, especially addressed to children&#8217;s achievements, can contribute to motivation and the formation of a positive attitude towards learning<\/p>\n<p><strong>General culture of communication:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ability to give compliments is an important part of the general culture of communication and politeness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Increasing confidence:<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen children learn to give compliments, it also helps to boost their self-confidence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Improving writing skills:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Project will offer exercises where children learn not only to speak, but also to write and draw compliments, which contributes to the development of writing, artistic and speaking skills.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Timeline Details<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">January 1 to January 26<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>1.1 Registration<br \/>\nPlease email Viktoriia at <a href=\"mailto:vikakalina70@gmail.com\">vikakalina70@gmail.com<\/a> to begin Registration and she will supply you with links to:<br \/>\n<strong>&#8211;<\/strong> Google Doc for your signup information<br \/>\n<strong>&#8211;<\/strong> WhatsApp group for the project<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Request to join the private <strong>Facebook Group<\/strong> at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/613041455130756\/?ref=share\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This Link.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.2 Participants will join the <em>Storyjumper<\/em> book website where all the material created by students will be kept. As soon as you write your emails to the contact list, the project leader will send you an invitation to join the <em>Storyjumper<\/em> book. The instructions how to use <em>Storyjumper<\/em> will be given and recorded on our first online partners meeting. The teams will be divided into groups and each group\u00a0 will have their own pages in the book. For the group work you can use any social sites or organise online meetings where you can discuss the stages of work.<\/p>\n<p>1.3 Partners online meeting to discuss the plan of the project. <strong>Deadline January 30th<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>February<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>2.1<strong> Week 1<\/strong> \u2013 compliments in pictures.<br \/>\nStudents of each team will draw the pictures and upload them to the Storyjumper eBook. The other team from the same group should write down the compliment they think is drawn in it. Then each group will choose one picture with the compliment which they think is the best and send their picture to the project leader\u00a0 by email <a href=\"mailto:vikakalina70@gmail.com\">vikakalina70@gmail.com<\/a> who will upload it to the Google Form for voting for the best Picture Compliment. Google Form will be pasted on our Facebook group.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for the task \u2013 February 8<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">2.2 <strong>Week 2<\/strong>\u2013 compliments in words<br \/>\nIn our eBook we will have pages for the second week where each group will create the following task: we have two teams in each group. The first team will start the first line of the rhyming compliment, the second team should create the second line. To explain children how to rhyme the words, propose them to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rhymezone.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>RhymeZone<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on the Internet. Then the second team will start the first line and the first team will create the second one. All the example how to do it are given in the book and will be explained during our first online meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for the task \u2013 February 15<\/p>\n<p>2.3 <strong>Weeks 3 and 4<\/strong> \u2013 digital games (create a digital game about compliments for your partners to play) Week 3 each of the teams will be working on creating a digital game. It can be <em>Kahoot<\/em>, <em>Canva<\/em>, <em>Nearpod<\/em>, <em>Quizlet<\/em>, <em>Quizziz<\/em>, <em>Baamboozle<\/em> etc. All the instructions how to use these web2 tools will be given on our Facebook group page. <strong>Week 4<\/strong> you will send your game to your group partner and they will play it.
