Master Chef Challenge

This Page/Project is under Construction

Project Leader: Mari Kharitonashvili: Tblisi, Georgia.

This exciting international foods project is created to help students from different parts of the world make friends and learn more about each other in the Master Chef Challenge! The Master Chef Challenge is a creative, educational cooking project that lasts 1–2 months. It aims to develop students’ culinary skills, healthy eating habits, teamwork, and cultural knowledge of food. Through weekly cooking sessions, workshops, and challenges, participants will explore different cuisines, learn about nutrition, and improve their presentation and time-management skills. The project encourages not only competition but also collaboration and personal growth.

Announcement – The project will be promoted at school/university with posters, social media posts, and class presentations – and promoted on the internet to attract schools from around the world?

Registration of Participants
What is the suggested age/grade level of the participants?

Application Form (Google Form Link or Paper will be provided by the project leader):
– Full name, Age/Class, Location
– Contact info
– Food preferences/allergies
– Short motivation (Why do you want to join?)

Deadline – The registration deadline is 2 weeks before the project starts.

Selection (optional) – If too many apply, you can choose based on motivation or run a small entry challenge. (Mari -how many participants do you think will be the maximum?)

Confirmation – List of official participants will be shared + a project schedule will be provided. (Will the list be of school teams paired or a list of all participants?)

Duration & Structure (1–2 months)
Week 1: Orientation, introduction of rules, forming teams, ice-breaking activities.
Weeks 2–6: Weekly cooking challenges (themes: Breakfast, Traditional Cuisine, International Dishes, Healthy Food, Desserts, Creative Fusion, etc.).
Week 7: Semi-Finals (best-performing participants/teams compete in a tougher round).
Week 8: Grand Finale & Award Ceremony.

Each week can include:
– A short workshop (nutrition, cooking techniques, food culture). (Done by project leader on Zoom?)
– A cooking challenge with scoring by judges. (How is this done for the different participants?)
– Feedback session & progress tracking.

Checking the Participants
– Attendance log – Keep record of weekly participation.
– Participant badges or numbers – For identification.
– Scoring sheets – Judges rate each challenge (taste, creativity, teamwork, presentation, hygiene). (Is the judge a teacher at the participants school?)
– Progress board – Display scores weekly to motivate participants.
– Midpoint evaluation – After 1 month, check participants’ progress and commitment.

Finale and Awards
The Grand Finale will be a major event where finalists prepare their signature dish. A jury (teachers, guest chefs, or students) will evaluate them.

Awards can include:
– Master Chef Winner (Main Trophy)
– 2nd & 3rd place awards
– Special titles:
– Most Creative Chef
– Health Ambassador (healthiest dishes)
– Best Team Player
– Audience Favorite (if others vote)
– Certificates for all participants

This way the project feels like a long journey, not just a quick contest, and students stay motivated for weeks.
